Every person is different, therefore, every voice is different. I take an individualized approach to teaching voice and tailor my teaching to each students’ needs and goals. While I teach classical, musical theater, jazz, and pop, my pedagogical philosophy is based in classical technique. The principles students learn allow them to develop a strong, healthy, and versatile vocal technique that can serve as a foundation for various musical styles and genres. In lessons, we focus on breath control and support, alignment and posture, vocal warmups, range development, resonance, ear training and pitch matching, musical expression, and diction. I strive to foster a positive and encouraging learning environment with consistent feedback and constructive guidance.
